Patricia Worrow

Claims & Collections Manager, VIP America, LLC

Since 2012, HCAF has recognized home care professionals for their dedication to the provision of quality home care and for their exemplary service to those they serve. HCAF is pleased to have such individuals be a part of the Association and honored to recognize them for their tireless efforts in helping to raise the bar for home care providers throughout the state. These individuals don’t just represent home care, rather, they are the essence of home care.

Patricia Worrow is the Claims & Collections Manager for VIP America, LLC, in Stuart, Fla. She is a native Floridian who loves to help organizations evaluate, integrate, launch, and optimize software utilization. She has amassed a diverse roster of experiences and has spent most of her career in the health care industry, initially gaining experience in hands-on patient care and advocacy working in a skilled nursing facility as a certified nursing assistant.

Worrow's advocacy ethic has been fueled by her own personal health struggles while learning to navigate health care industry, as well as by advocating for herself in order to receive quality health care. This passion led her to working in case management with high-risk pregnant teens and infants in small rural communities, where she was instrumental in expanding access to services and other unattainable resources through community-based grant-writing projects.

She has also led several large-scale organizations with their integration and new software implementation projects. Her eagerness is an inner desire to work smarter, not harder — to leverage what’s at your fingertips. Worrow was most successful partnering with TBC Corporation and Trintech to leverage the software ReconNET beyond its original intended capabilities to create automated processes for the department resulting in a two-day reduction in month-end close processes while also reducing the U.S. Department of the Treasury head count by 64 percent.

Worrow has spent the last two years taking a multi-location home care company with many varied lines of business (e.g., managed care organizations, Lead Agency, long-term care, private insurance) from 100-percent paper invoicing to Electronic Visit Verification and electronic records. While claims and collections is her primary job function by day, she is also a two-time cancer survivor, mother of one, and in her spare time she enjoys cooking, spoiling her friends and family, life in the slow lane, and hopes to someday write that book.
